The Dutch Heritage Customs, founded by Niels van Roij, among others, previously presented a converted version of the new Land Rover Defender. However, the company is also working on the original, as evidenced by this Heritage Customs Vintage.
The Heritage Customs Vintage in the photos is the first example and should show what is possible in the field of old Defenders. At the same time, it is no more than an example, because the whole idea is that owners decide for themselves how they want to dress their Defender. This is possible with a complete makeover, but it is of course also possible to include only certain elements from the range.
The car shown has a soft green paint that is reminiscent of what Land Rover used on the Heritage Edition when (first) farewell to this model. The Heritage Customs example distinguishes itself with unique air vents in the side and bonnet, its own grille and extra-wide steel wheels.
The interior received, among other things, a wooden steering wheel and a center console in body color. The seats are covered with brown nubuck leather, which is not intended for use in cars, but which does justice to this.
Nice is that Heritage Customs does not go along with the fashion flow that dictates a jet black and extraordinarily aggressive appearance. Instead, the company insists that the Defender has a “likable” and “friendly” appearance. The price of such a happy Defender depends entirely on the wishes of the customer, but according to Heritage Customs it starts at around 40 grand excluding taxes.
It is no wonder that the overall picture comes out beautifully, because none other than Niels van Roij is involved in this project. In recent years, Van Roij has regularly succeeded in drawing international attention with special creations.
