Motorola has announced when it will launch its new ‘Edge smartphone’. The Edge 30 Pro, as the device will most likely be called, will be announced on February 24. The device has a number of powerful specifications.
Motorola comes with new high-end phone
Motorola has announced the arrival of a new phone in a Twitter message. In the post we see the hashtag findyouredge, which is certainly a clear hint to a new Edge series smartphone. This is probably about the launch of the Motorola Edge 30 Pro, because this phone was already announced in China last December under the name ‘Moto Edge X30’. Reports reported that this Edge X30 would soon be announced worldwide under the name ‘Motorola Edge 30 Pro’.
Lightning fast processor and other specs
The Motorola Edge 30 Pro is rumored to be virtually the same phone compared to the Edge X30. This means, among other things, that the smartphone will have a 6.7-inch 10-bit OLED panel with a resolution of 2400×1800 pixels and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. This screen contains a punch-hole notch with a 60 MP selfie camera. On the back of the device are three cameras, including a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP wide-angle lens and a 2 MP depth sensor.
If we look further at the specifications, we see that the device will have Qualcomm’s fastest processor, the Qualcomm 8 Gen 1 chipset. The device is supported with at least 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage capacity. A variant will also be available on the market with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.

The Edge 30 Pro will probably differ from its Chinese brother in one point. Where the X30 has a fingerprint scanner in the on/off button, the Edge 30 Pro will have a fingerprint scanner integrated into the display. The Motorola Edge 30 Pro will probably have a price tag of 700 euros. For this you get the variant with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage capacity.
