Honda is building motorcycle factory in Turkey

Honda Turkiye AS (HTR) has decided to build a new motorcycle factory in Aliaga, Izmir, with the aim of supporting the growth of the motor market and to stimulate the worldwide sale of motorcycles. The factory must be put into operation early next year.

The COVID-19 Pandemie has led to an increasing demand for personal transport and commercial use, such as delivery services, which has caused considerable growth of the Turkish motorcycle market. As a result, Honda Turkiye established a new sales record in 2024 with an annual sale of 162,000 motorcycles.

Production is expected to start in mid -2026. In the first instance, the factory will have an annual capacity of 100,000 motorcycles, with plans to increase production capacity to 200,000 units in the future. The total investment for the factory, including machines and equipment, is approximately $ 20 million. The factory is expected to offer employment to around 300 people.

With this new investment, Honda wants to strengthen Turkiye the local production activities and contribute to the development of the motorcycle industry in Turkey by offering high -quality, affordable and attractive products.
