The filter options in WhatsApp make it easier to find conversations. WhatsApp offers filters for All,, ” Unread,, ” Favorites and Group discussions. Nowadays you can also create filters yourself. A filter list is a kind of category that you can create in WhatsApp, for example a list for family, friends or your work. This way you can focus on what you find important.

Step 1 View your filter options
Every WhatsApp user nowadays has access to filters on the chat service, both on desktop and mobile. To find the filters on your smartphone, wipe down on the home screen, until rounded rectangles appear at the top of the screen. If you tap the filters, you will see the desired selection of WhatsApp interviews. On the right side next to All,, ” Unread,, ” Favorites and Groups Is a + icon, the plus sign. Tap that.

Step 2 Create a filter list
Once you have ticked the + icon, WhatsApp opens a new tab to create a filter list. First you have to give the list a name. It can consist of a combination of letters, numbers and even emojis. Then tap Add people or groups. At the top you see a list of most used chats, with a button at the top right to search in your conversations. In this list you select the conversations you want to add to the filter list. If you have selected the desired conversations, you only have to click on the checkmark at the bottom right. The list is now visible in WhatsApp.

Step 3 Edit your filter list
Of course you can also edit a filter list afterwards by adding or removing conversations. To do this, open the filter list and click the button at the bottom [Naam] to process. You now see the option to add people or groups. Select people or groups here as you have already done it at the previous step and round by clicking on the check mark. Do you only want to edit the name? Then click on the pen at the top right and save the change by tapping the check mark at the top right. Do you want to remove a filter list? That is also possible, via the trash icon.

Step 4 Sort your filter list
Filter lists can be useful, but as standard these extra filters will be placed behind the standard filters. Fortunately, you can adjust this as desired. To do this, hold a filter at the top of the start screen and select Rank lists again. By wiping up or down with the two lines on the right, you put a filter in the list.
