Quickly identify the sender of a call or text without taking the iPhone out of your pocket by personalizing the vibrator.
Like many people, you may be mainly using your iPhone’s vibrate mode. Since it is possible to choose a personalized ringtone based on who is calling you, iOS also allows you to customize the vibration sequence for calls and texts. You can then easily identify your correspondents, without having to take your iPhone out of your pocket.
1. Open the address book
Go to the iOS Address Book. Access the contact card whose ringtone you want to customize, and press Edit.

2. Enter the alert settings
Then enter the Sound SMS menu, then in the Vibration submenu where the “Synchronized” vibration is selected by default, then at the bottom of the menu, tap Create vibration.

3. Create a personalized vibration
To create your own vibration, tap the screen for a longer or shorter time at different intervals to create your vibration sequence. Then press Stop when your sequence is complete.
Check if it suits you by tapping the Play button, then save it by tapping Save and giving it a name.

4. Validate the modifications to the file
With your personalized vibration selected, exit the menu by pressing SMS sound at the top left of the screen. Confirm the changes to the SMS ringtone by pressing OK a first time, then the contact card by pressing OK again. With each new SMS from this contact received on your iPhone, the personalized vibration sequence should be triggered.
