We are all familiar with the problem: you want to save something on your PC or laptop and receive a message that there is no more space available. If your disk is full, you will have to delete some files, or transfer them to an external disk. But there is also a trick with which you can delete a lot of temporary files in one go.
With this simple hack you can delete a lot of files that your laptop or PC collects in one go, without it really being of any use to you. These are the temporary files. These belong to all kinds of programs and peripherals and can take up a lot of storage space. But how do you get rid of that?
Delete temporary files
To remove these files in one fell swoop, first right-click on the Windows icon. Then choose the ‘run’ option. In the search bar that now appears, type the following: %temp%†The folder that opens next is the folder with all the temporary files. You can select them all at once with the key combination Ctrl+A. Then press delete. You will now see that you have a lot more space on your computer.
Clean up via disk storage
Another way to get here is through your computer’s settings. For this you go to the Control Panel and then click System†In the left menu you will see the option Storage stand. If you click on this you will see a slider button that you can turn on. This is the smart cleaning system of your computer itself.
Here you can enable the function that all temporary files are cleaned up every week, month or only when there is a shortage of storage. This way you will never be stuck with unnecessary files again.
