At the IFA in Berlin, Huawei announced a new smartwatch with a kind of airbag band that can be inflated to measure your blood pressure.
Inflatable Huawei Watch D
The Watch D is Huawei’s latest smartwatch that should bring health and fitness features to your wrist. You can, among other things, just like with the Galaxy Watch 5 series, measure ECG and blood pressure and that data must be very accurate, according to Huawei. The watch has an inflatable strap to measure your blood pressure. Huawei adds a high-resolution pressure sensor and together they provide an accurate pressure measurement system with a small error sensitivity.
The Huawei Watch D also weighs 40.9 grams and comes with more than 70 sports to keep track of. There are also multiple health monitoring features, including SpO2 monitoring, skin temperature and stress monitoring. If you use the smart mode on the smartwatch, the wearable can last for days on one battery charge.
Huawei Watch D prices and availability
The Huawei Watch D will be available at the end of this year for a suggested retail price of 399 euros.
