Hyundai pulls the plug from the combustion engine

Norway is a very interesting market for car manufacturers. Due to government policy, among other things, electric cars are extremely popular, making Norway’s car market an interesting testing ground. Hyundai has decided to offer only electric cars in Norway from January 1, 2023.
With a thick red marker, Hyundai in Norway marks all its models with a combustion engine from the range. Yes, even the plug-in hybrid Tucson has to believe it. Hyundai’s delivery range in Norway only consists of fully electric cars.
With this, Hyundai is taking a new electrification step in Norway. Since 2020, the Koreans have only sold plug-ins and EVs there. Hyundai will now only sell the Kona Electric, the Ioniq 5, the brand new Ioniq 6 and the Nexo in Norway. The latter is not a regular electric car, but an EV with a fuel cell on board. It is not surprising that Hyundai no longer supplies models with combustion engines in Norway. In recent years, electric cars have already accounted for 90 percent of Hyundai’s sales in the country. Norway is the first country where Hyundai fully focuses on selling electric cars.
