iMac 2021 order in the Netherlands: pre-order started
The iMac 2021 pre-order started today promptly at 14:00 CET. You can order the brand new desktop from Apple from now on, although you still have to wait for it. The first copies will be delivered ‘in mid-May’, according to Apple. Various web shops state that the iMac will be delivered on May 21. So keep that in mind when you look at the delivery times.
When ordering, you can choose from three different models. All three run on Apple’s M1 chip, the self-designed processor that Intel replaces. The difference is in the number of cores of the GPU (graphics processor), the internal memory and the available ports. With the iMac 2021, Apple has given its desktop a colorful look. The new design is wafer-thin, which is made possible by the M1 chip. The front camera has been greatly improved, so that video calling is a lot better and the larger 24-inch display has a wide (P3) color reproduction. This makes the desktop ideal for editing photos and videos.
