iMac Pro will not appear at the first Apple event of 2022 after all

In the spring, Apple is expected to organize a spring event, where the company will present the first new products of 2022. However, you don’t seem to have to rely on one product: a new iMac Pro.

iMac Pro 2022 release

According to previous rumors, the iMac Pro 2022 was scheduled for spring. However, reliable analyst Ross Young no longer expects the iMac Pro to appear in the coming months. A summer launch is more likely at the moment, he said in a tweet.

The iMac Pro screens will ship in June, but the device may not launch until August or September, Young writes. He also confirms that the iMac Pro 2022 is equipped with a mini LED screen, just like the latest MacBook Pro models. He does expect fewer mini LED zones than with the iPad and MacBook Pro.

In December, Young predicted that the iMac Pro 2022 would be unveiled in the spring. This was also the expectation of Mark Gurman – another reliable Apple analyst. He was counting on a launch during the spring event, which is expected to take place in March or April.

iMac Pro 2022 in August or September?

So there is a good chance that we will have to wait longer for the new iMac Pro. Still, we have doubts about an August or September release, as Young predicts. Apple rarely launches new products in the summer, especially if they are as innovative as the iMac Pro. And September is traditionally dominated by the new iPhone models and new Apple Watch.

One month later — in October — Apple often hosts an event largely devoted to new Macs. It may therefore take until the fall before we see more of the new iMac Pro 2022.
