When you first hear the secret ringtone in iOS 26, he sounds a bit known. The ringtone looks a bit like the standard ringing sound of your iPhone: this is the ring tone ‘reflection’ (in English: reflection).

The secret ringtone was discovered in the program code of the first iOS 26-beta. But you can’t select it in the settings yet. It is not yet known whether the ringtone will actually become available. Some rumors even think that this ringtone is exclusively for the iPhone 17.

The Beltoon was first shared on X (former Twitter), by the account @8810CFW. You can listen to the secret ringtone on your iPhone in the beta of iOS 26 below.

iOS 26 in short

One of the most eye -catching innovations in iOS 26 is the new design that Apple Liquid Glass mentions. This new style gives your iPhone a subtle, transparent look that comes back in several places in the system.

For example, some app icons have a light glass look or a transparent background. Widgets and reports are also adjusted and now look a bit nicer thanks to the translucent design.

A very nice detail is that you can see part of the background through the ‘glass’. This gives your iPhone a kind of feeling of depth, which is a very nice effect.

These iPhones can install iOS 26

Most iPhones that support iOS 18 also receive the update to iOS 26 (and the functions). But there are a few exceptions. Three to be precise:

  • iPhone XS;
  • iPhone XS Max;
  • iPhone Xr.

That means that all iPhones can update to iOS 26 from the iPhone 11 in September.
