Innr, the smart lighting manufacturer, has released two switches. The intention is that you can control your smart lamps without using an app on your phone. Both light switches also work with Philips Hue and they cost 19.99 euros.
Innr Light Switches
Smart lights are great, but if you have visitors in your home, they can’t control the lights so easily. Smart light switches, such as the new Smart Button and Remote Control from the Dutch company Innr, are used for this. Both work with smart bulbs that work with the Wi-Fi or Zigbee standards, provided they are connected to a bridge, the company says in a press release.
The Smart Button is, as the name suggests, a button that you can link to all lights in a room or a selection of lamps. By briefly pressing the button you can switch them on and off, and by pressing the button you can dim. If you set the switch via the Innr app, you can also switch between five light scenes by pressing twice in quick succession.
The Remote Control comes with five buttons and that provides extra options. This switch has arrows with which you can adjust the light color. As with the Smart Button, you can also switch between five preset scenes.
Prices and availability
Both switches are for sale from 19.99 euros and they come with magnets and a wall plate with which you can mount them on the wall. Because the switches work with zigbee, you can add them to the Philips Hue app. All Innr lamps and the smart plug also work with Hue.
In addition to the separate light switches, there are also so-called starter kits available that appear with a switch and two colored lamps. They are available now through the Innr website, but will also be available for purchase through other stores at a later date. You can discover the prices below:
