The first alternative App Store has been available since today and this is how you install AltStore PAL on your iPhone.
Install AltStore PAL on your iPhone
There are only two apps left in AltStore PAL: Delta and Clip. If you like Nintendo, then Delta is definitely worth it. This allows you to play old Nintendo games on your iPhone for free (even though it is a gray area legally). Therefore, install AltStore PAL immediately!
Delta is free, but to use AltStore PAL you pay 1.82 euros per year (1.50 euros + tax). For the clipboard manager Clip you also pay 1 euro + tax per month.
Subscribe and download
To install AltStore PAL on your iPhone, first go to altstore.io to download it. Scroll down there and tap on the price under ‘AltStore PAL’. You can pay with a credit card or with Apple Pay – although a credit card must be linked to Apple Pay. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to get any further without a credit card.
Allow installation
Once payment is completed, a download button will appear. Tap it and a message will appear stating that downloading is not allowed. Tap ‘OK’ and then open Settings. Once there, tap “Allow AltStore, LLC Marketplace” and finally tap “Allow.”
Install and use
Now tap the download button again in the browser. This time you will be given the option to install the app store. Install AltStore PAL now by tapping ‘Install App Marketplace’. Now you can open and use AltStore PAL. The two apps that are included so far can be found under ‘Browse’. Only Delta is currently free to use.
Subscription AltStore PAL
You can manage your subscription to AltStore PAL from the purchase screen (see right image under ‘Subscribe and download’). Enter the email address you used to pay. You will then see an option to manage your subscription and an option to reinstall AltStore PAL.
