iOS 15.2: your iPhone will be equipped with these features from today

In recent weeks we have already been able to discover several functionalities of iOS 15.2. This has to do with the fact that developers and beta testers already received early versions of the operating system. But which options were ultimately implemented?

Apple ID

you can now Legacy Contacts, in Dutch also called a Inheritance contact, add to your Apple ID. In the event of your death, the contacts you have added will have access to all your data.

Apple Music

It Voice subscription for Apple Music is available. It is a cheaper subscription of € 4.99 per month that ensures that you can use the streaming service with Siri. You simply ask to turn on a song based on your previous choices or discover new music. In addition, it is also possible to get a list of all music that you have recently played.

iOS 15.2: Messages

iOS 15.2 brings much-discussed functionality in the Messagesapp can be used. Apple makes it possible for parents to turn on warnings so that you are notified when your child receives an unwanted photo in the app. Apple focuses on nude photos in this area. A functionality that requires a lot of work, but has eventually been rolled out.

Camera

The CameraiPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max app features a new digital button. This ensures that you can turn the automatic switching to macro mode on or off. Previously, this option was always enabled, leading to frustration for some users.

CarPlay

Apple Maps for CarPlay has been significantly improved. Apple has adjusted the maps of cities so that they are a lot clearer. Drivers see lanes before a bend, cycle paths and pedestrians a little better.

iOS 15.2: Privacy

Apple introduces the App Privacy Report function. This makes it possible to see how often certain apps steal your data. This way you can see when they have requested access to your photos, camera, microphone, contacts and much more.

Siri & Search

Siri, Spotlight and Safari Search ensure that parents and children are safer online. This option was already there, but has become more extensive thanks to iOS 15.2.

TV App

Improvements in iOS 15.2

As mentioned, iOS 15.2 not only brings new functionalities, but also improvements to your iPhone. The following issues are addressed in this way:

• ProRAW-photos no longer look overexposed in third party apps
• Locked iPhone no longer causes problems between CarPlay, HomeKit and a garage door
• Now playing can now be seen again in CarPlay
• Streaming services apps can reload content on iPhone 13 models
• Microsoft Exchange users no longer see appointments on wrong dates in the agendaapp.

iOS 15.2 is now available for download on all supported iPhone models. You get the update via Settings -> General -> Software Update.
