Soon we will be able to install iOS 15.6 on iPhone. The RC (release candidate build) has just been released. And finally we know what exactly is new in this upcoming iPhone update.
iOS 15.6: Release Candidate Build
Apple released no fewer than five betas (test versions) of iOS 15.6 in recent weeks. The tech giant didn’t provide any information about the update and we couldn’t discover any innovations, making it a guess as to what exactly is new in the update.
Now Apple does let you know what will change with iOS 15.6:
- TV app adds the option to restart and pause, rewind or fast forward a live sports match that is already in progress;
- Fixes an issue where the Settings app may continue to show that the device storage is full even if it is available;
- Fixes an issue that could cause braille devices to slow down or become unresponsive when navigating text in Mail;
- Fixes an issue in Safari where a tab could return to a previous page.
The new feature in the TV app is something that currently only benefits people in the United States and Canada. They have access to a live stream of MLB baseball games. Furthermore, the interim update mainly focuses on bug fixes and bug fixes.
A release is approaching
After an RC it usually takes less than a week before the official release follows. Usually, Apple releases an interim update on a Monday or Tuesday. This means that we can probably install iOS 15.6 on July 18 or 19. This is approximately from 19:00 Dutch time.
