When the public beta of iOS 16 is out, everyone can already install the new software on the iPhone. But when can you expect the test version of iOS 16?
Test version of iOS 16
Recently, Apple announced iOS 16. The new software is not expected to be officially released until September, but you won’t have to wait that long to get started with the latest iPhone features.
Earlier, the beta of iOS 16 can be downloaded. There are two versions of this and the first has already been published. This is a developer beta (intended for app builders), which Apple released on June 6 after the release of iOS 16. A developer beta requires you to be enrolled in the Apple Developer Program and costs $99 per year.
In addition, Apple is releasing a public beta, which is free for anyone to install. This test version usually appears two to three weeks after the first developer beta, but the iOS 16 Public Beta 1 has still not been released. When can we expect him?
iOS 16: When will the public beta be here?
The first public beta of iOS 16 seems near. Trusted Apple Insider Mark Gurman of Bloomberg predicts that the software will be released at the same time as the third developer beta of iOS 16. The second version was released last Wednesday (June 22). The next version usually follows two weeks later.
This means that we have the first public beta in the week of July 4 may expect. Usually that happens on a Wednesday or Thursday, so July 6 or 7 seems the most likely.
How can you download the public beta?
All you need to install the public beta is an iPhone with iOS 16 support. When the beta is out (check our website for this), navigate to the Apple Beta Software Programâ€
Tap ‘Sign up’ at the bottom and log in with your Apple ID. On the page that appears, select ‘enroll your iOS device’. Then you download the profile and you can install the beta. on iPhoned An extensive step-by-step plan will follow after the release of the beta.
Keep in mind that such a public beta – certainly with the first version – contains quite a few software errors (bugs). It’s nice to get started with the new features, but the operating system won’t be stable. If you don’t want this, it’s better to wait until the official release in September.
