iOS 17.2 contains cool new features. The biggest innovation is the Diary app, but what exactly can you do with this app on your iPhone?
iOS 17.2: you can do this with the Diary app on iPhone
With the arrival of iOS 17, there is also a new app on your iPhone: the Diary app. This app is made for tracking your daily thoughts, activities and goals. And the special thing is that the Diary app also uses AI to help you with topics you need to write about.

If the app has a nice proposal ready for you to write about, you will be notified immediately. This could be anything: about your visit to the gym, the dinner out or a few photos you recently took.
It is also useful that you can set your own schedule in Diary on your iPhone. You will then receive a notification to write on a specific day and time. You can find this setting by clicking ‘Settings > Diary > Diary keeping schedule’. You then enable the function here and set the moments when the app should remind you.

Just like with any diary, you don’t want anyone else to be able to read what you write in this app. Fortunately, Apple also attaches great importance to privacy here. All content is encrypted, meaning no one else can access it. Not even Apple itself. Moreover, it is also possible to lock Diary, for that extra bit of security.
More news in iOS 17.2
In addition to the Diary app, iOS 17.2 on your iPhone includes many more innovations. For example, the action button on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max has a new translation option and you can create Spatial videos for the Apple Vision Pro. Weather and Messages have received several new functions and the update also contains the necessary bug fixes.
