A new update for iOS has appeared. And that is good news, because in iOS 18.4 beta 2 there are actually new functions.
iOS 18.4 Bèta 2 is out (and these are the new functions)
Apple is busy with the next update of iOS 18. There are various new functions in iOS 18.4 Bèta 2. Unfortunately, they are not all immediately used in the Netherlands and Belgium, because most are for Apple intelligence. Yet there are also a few new features that get every iPhone with iOS 18.
New Emoji
With iOS 18.4 Beta 2, new emoji will come to your smartphone. These include a fingerprint, a harp and a shovel.
New buttons in photos
The Photos app has received new buttons. You can find it in the album ‘Recently deleted’. When you have the overview with the deleted photos open, there is now a button at the bottom with which you can immediately restore all photos. To the right of that there is a trash icon with which you can remove the photos permanently.
Extra menu in wallet
The wallet has also received an adjustment. When you have the Wallet app open, you can tap a button with three dots at the top right. In this menu you will find the options ‘orders’, ‘subscriptions and payments’ and ‘settings’.
New options assignments
The app assignments have received a number of new options and functions that you can use in your own assignments. Most of these seem to focus on adjusting functions and settings in different apps.
App Store Downloads
It is a small update, but it is now also possible to pause or stop a download from the App Store.
Updates for Apple Intelligence
Apple Intelligence is still not available here. And that is a shame, because in iOS 18.4 beta 2 there are quite a few new functions for Apple’s AI. Visual Intelligence is available on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The control panel now also has an Apple Intelligence part. Furthermore, a Vision Pro app has been added and you can prioritize important notifications with the help of AI.
This is when iOS 18.4 becomes available to everyone
Apple has released iOS 18.4 beta 2 for developers. The official release of the update somewhere in April, then everyone can install this new software version.
