Apple has released iOS 18.4, with which a number of new functions come to your iPhone. These improvements brings iOS 18.4 to the control panel!
iOS 18.4
There is another update available for your iPhone! Apple released iOS 18.4 on Monday 31 March. With the update, a number of new functions will come to your iPhone. You get new emoji and Apple Intelligence can finally be used in the Netherlands and Belgium. That is not all, because the control panel has been improved in iOS 18.4. 1. Background music
With iOS 18.4, Apple introduces background music to the control panel. You get the opportunity to add four new controllers, which activates background noises. In this way you play sounds that match your mood at the touch of a button. In addition, you can start a suitable playlist on Apple Music with each of these buttons. These categories of background music are:
- Sleep;
- Relaxed;
- Productivity;
- Well -being.
2. Apple Intelligence
Apple Intelligence has been available in the European Union since iOS 18.4 and that can be seen in the control panel. After installing the update you can add ‘Visual Intelligence’ to your regulators. In addition, there is a new ‘talk to Siri’ button, as a supplement to the existing ‘Type to Siri’ button. 3. Adapted design
In addition to these new functions, Apple has adjusted the design of the control panel in iOS 18.4. These are a number of small changes, which can mainly be seen in the controllers on the control panel. Apple makes these adjustments at the control panel:
- Control for Focus now has arrows up and down;
- Controller for screen brightness has a renewed animation, based on the fierceness of the display;
- Volume controller has a similar animation based on the volume level of the iPhone.

With iOS 18.4, Apple therefore brings a series of improvements to the control panel. In addition, Apple has added new functions to the photos app, Safari shows your recent search results and has the Podcasts app new widgets. Have you not yet installed iOS 18.4?
