iOS 26 Bèta 2 is out: This is new on the iPhone
Apple has released a new version of iOS 26! There are various new functions and improvements in Bèta 2 of iOS 26. We put the most important one under a row for you.

- The control panel is now easier to read, because the background has been made a bit darker;
- There is a new ringtone available that was first found in the IOS 26 program code. You can find it by tapping the ‘reflection’ in the settings and choosing ‘Alt 1’.
- Notifications of strangers have a red color in messages;
- Apple Music now has a live radio widget;
- The iOS 26 background now has a 3D effect;
- Apps in your dock are aligned on the left (instead of centered) when you have three or fewer apps in it.
At present, the beta is only available for developers. So you must have a developer account to install iOS 26. The public beta of iOS 26 must appear around the beginning of July.
More about iOS 26
Numerous innovations have been implemented in iOS 26, but one of the most striking is the new ‘Liquid Glass’ design. This makes it look like buttons, windows and other glass elements have been made. Add to that the new AI functions, the improvements in apps and a longer battery life. Thanks to this update, your iPhone feels like new again.

These iPhones can install iOS 26
Most iPhones that support iOS 18 also receive the update to iOS 26 (and the functions). But there are a few exceptions. Three to be precise:
- iPhone XS;
- iPhone XS Max;
- iPhone Xr.
That means that all iPhones can update to iOS 26 from the iPhone 11 in September.
