With iOS 26, the control panel on the iPhone has also undergone a transformation. And that now looks like this!
iOS 26 has new control panel on iPhone: This is what it looks like
In iOS 26, Apple has greatly refreshed the control panel (Control Center). And we have to be honest: it took some getting used to. The entire control panel has now received the new Liquid Glass design. This makes it look like the buttons and sliding bars are made of glass.

No new functions have been added (as far as is known). So Apple only focused on the appearance at the iOS 26 control panel.
It is nice that the background is still visible through the glass buttons. But there is also a disadvantage to that. Sometimes it can all look a bit messy when you have opened the control panel on a busy background.

This is of course only the first beta of iOS 26. Chances are that Apple will tinker with the appearance a little further. Perhaps new functions or features will be added.
iOS 26 in short
This year Apple is leaving the familiar numbering of the iPhone control system. Instead of iOS 19, the company now comes with iOS 26, named after the year 2026. This new naming also applies to Watchos, iPados, macOS, TVOS and Visionos.

With the update to iOS 26, Apple has worked considerably on the appearance. It is perhaps the biggest update since iOS 7. Besides the control panel, many parts in iOS 26 have received a glass look and have even become transparent.
iOS 26 will be released in September. Apple usually chooses to release new software versions on Monday or Tuesday, a week after the launch of the new iPhones. The official release of iOS 26 will probably fall on Monday 15 September or Tuesday 16 September.
