‘iPhone 13 Pro gets ultra-wide-angle lens with autofocus’

‘iPhone 13 ultra wide-angle lens gets autofocus’

The usually reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says based on his sources that the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will get an ultra wide-angle lens with autofocus this fall.

Earlier this year, the rumor surfaced that Apple would be working on an improved ultra wide-angle lens. With autofocus, taking pictures becomes a lot easier, because you can choose what the lens should focus on. The lens then works just like the other two lenses of the iPhone.

The current ultra-wide angle lenses in the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro cannot focus on a specific person or object. In addition, Apple would use a lens that consists of six elements instead of five, which should provide better photos and videos. This will probably mainly improve the quality difference between the photos in the dark with the ultra wide-angle lens.

Kuo emphasizes that only the Pro models will receive this improved ultra-wide angle lens. But the same improvement is expected to come to regular iPhone models in 2022 as well.

iPhone 13 series getting better and better in the picture

For example, 5G support would be improved, the notch is smaller and the device is equipped with a new processor. In the video below we list the most important iPhone 13 rumors.
