Four new iPhone models will appear again in the fall. With the two basic versions – the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max – Apple hardly seems to tinker with the design. Leaked CAD renders of the iPhone 14 design reveal this.
iPhone 14 design
Earlier this week, renders of the iPhone 14 Pro surfaced, confirming previous rumors: the distinctive notch at the top of the screen is disappearing. In its place are a small round camera hole and a pill-shaped cutout.
Now there are through MySmartPrice shared similar renders of the cheaper iPhone 14 (Max). And unfortunately, these images also confirm previous rumors: hardly anything changes in the design of the regular iPhone 14.
At the top of the iPhone 14 (Max) is still the notch, in which Apple houses, among other things, the selfie camera and the TrueDepth system for Face ID. That notch appears to be the same size as on the iPhone 13 (mini), which Apple released in September 2021.
Subtle Differences
Will nothing change at all? MysmartPrice notes that the rear camera has “got a little refresh” and “appears to have a thicker glass frame around the module.” However, they are subtle changes.
The website claims to have received the CAD renders through an insider. It often happens that these types of sketches leak prematurely. They are intended for case makers so that they can manufacture suitable cases before the iPhone launch. However, the website doesn’t have a significant track record of Apple rumors yet, so it’s unclear how reliable the drawings are.
iPhone 14 Rumors
Although the launch of the iPhone 14 is still a long way off, we already know quite a lot about the future iPhones. As mentioned, Apple would reveal four. The mini model disappears and in its place will be an iPhone 14 Max, which, like the Pro Max, has a screen of 6.7 inches. The screen diagonal of the regular iPhone 14 is again 6.1 inches.
In addition, Apple comes with a 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max. They are a lot more spectacular than the regular iPhones. Not only does the design change, but Apple also equips the new flagship with a stunning 48 MP camera.
