iPhone 15 Pro (Max) gets scalding hot – this is what’s going on

According to many users, the new iPhone 15 Pro (Max) quickly becomes too hot, even if you are not performing particularly heavy tasks. This is what you have to do.

iPhone 15 Pro (Max) gets too hot

Every year when a new iPhone appears on the market, there appears to be some kind of problem. This year the problem is overheating, probably caused by the A17 Pro chip (see photo below). The iPhone 15 Pro (Max) appears to become extremely hot, even when you only take a few photos or exchange a few messages.

Overheating is normal when the processor is under excessive load, such as while playing a very heavy and advanced game or rendering a 4K video. But according to a large number of users, the new Pro models already become very hot when performing very simple tasks. And that is of course not normal.

There are now hundreds of cases

When we looked for the problem online, we found numerous threads, both on various social media channels and on the official one Apple Forum. On the Apple Forum, one user reported that his iPhone 15 Pro Max became red hot, prompting as many as 604 people to click the ‘Me too’ button. According to some users, the iPhone even gets so hot that they can no longer hold it.

The heat problem can almost certainly be solved with a firmware update, so you don’t really have to worry about it. But for now it is of course annoying. The more complaints appear and the more written about them, the faster we can expect a solution. For the time being, all you have to do is report the problem to Apple and then wait a while.
