iPhone Event 2024
September is always the biggest month for Apple, and this year is no different. This month, Apple announces a slew of new products and releases the biggest software updates of the year. At the 2024 iPhone event, Apple will not only present the iPhone 16, but also the new Apple Watches, iPads and AirPods. Here are our expectations for the ‘It’s Glowtime‘- event from Apple!
Overview
1. iPhones
The 2024 iPhone event will focus on the release of the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The devices will all feature the A18 (Pro) chip and 8GB of RAM, so that all new iPhones will support Apple Intelligence. Curious about the next iPhone? 2. Apple Watches
In addition to the iPhone 16, Apple is also presenting new smartwatches at the 2024 iPhone event. With the Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch SE 2024 and Apple Watch Ultra 3, we see no fewer than three new generations. Expectations are particularly high for the Apple Watch Series 10, because it is exactly ten years ago that the first generation of the Apple Watch was released. 3. AirPods
In 2021, Apple released the AirPods 3 and the regular earbuds have not received an update since then. That will change this year, because the AirPods 4 are likely to be released at the 2024 iPhone event. Apple is reportedly releasing the earbuds in two versions, one with noise cancellation and one without. Here we explain exactly what the difference is between the two variants of the AirPods 4.
4. iPads
After the release of the iPad Air 2024 and iPad Pro 2024, we will see two more new iPads at the iPhone event. Apple is rumored to announce the eleventh generation of the iPad and the seventh generation of the iPad mini during the event. And lots of new software
At the 2024 iPhone event, Apple will also be sharing more about Apple Intelligence, the company’s new artificial intelligence technology. There are a bunch of new AI features coming, which we’ll likely see in this year’s new iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches. Apple Intelligence will be available with iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia. Other big updates coming soon include watchOS 11 and tvOS 18.
The 2024 iPhone event starts on Monday September 9 at 7:00 PM. The Apple Watches, AirPods and iPads will probably go on pre-sale that same evening, the iPhone will follow on Friday 13 September.
