iPhone screen stays black: here’s the solution
Have you just been working on your iPhone in an app, the screen suddenly goes black. And then you face a bigger problem: your iPhone suddenly stops responding. Oh no, now what? No worries. Often there is not much to it and the solution is quite simple.
If you have a black screen on your iPhone, it could be that an app has crashed or that the operating system has a problem. You can then turn the iPhone off and on again, but sometimes that does not work and your device does not respond to anything. Then there is another special trick you can try.
Have a recent iPhone without a home button (like the iPhone 14 and iPhone 13) with a black screen? You restart it in the following way with this trick.

- Press and hold the volume up button for a while;
- Press and hold the volume down button very briefly;
- Press and hold the side button (right) until you see the Apple logo.

Reset (very) old iPhones
