Do you notice that your iPhone works less quickly? Then that is probably due to a function of iOS. This way you prevent your iPhone from becoming too slow!
iPhone too slow
Do you have a relatively new iPhone, but is the device working less quickly? Then there is no reason to panic, because there is a good chance that the iPhone will become slow due to a function of iOS. With the energy -saving mode switched on, the iPhone works less quickly, so that the battery is saved. This is not a new iOS function, Apple already introduced energy-saving mode in 2015 with iOS 9.
With the feature, your iPhone uses less energy, so that the battery of the device lasts longer. This is useful if, for example, you are on the road for a long time, with the energy -saving mode you have to put the iPhone on the charger less quickly. Unfortunately, the function also comes with a number of disadvantages. One of those disadvantages is that your iPhone becomes slower. Do you want to prevent that? We explain how to switch the function on and off.

Manage energy saving mode
Is your iPhone almost empty? With a battery percentage of twenty percent you will automatically receive a notification as to whether you want to switch on the energy saving mode. You can recognize the energy saving mode by the battery symbol in the right corner of your screen. Is this bar yellow? Then the function is on. Switching on or off the energy saving mode is as follows:
- Open ‘settings’ on your iPhone;
- Go to ‘battery’;
- Put the switch on or off ‘energy -saving mode’.
By switching on the energy saving mode, your iPhone is generally less empty. That is why a number of functions are being adjusted. For example, the screen of your iPhone automatically goes out after thirty seconds without activity, the refresh rate goes to 60 Hz on devices with promotion, some visual effects are eliminated and refresh apps in the background are less often. In addition, your iPhone will become a bit slower to save energy.

More iPhone tips
Various tests have confirmed that an iPhone works slower with energy -saving mode. That has to do with the when on which the device processes different tasks. With the energy -saving mode switched on, not all tasks are performed at the same time, while that normally happens. Performing the tasks takes a little longer, but consumes less energy.
Is your brand new iPhone already slower? That is probably due to the energy saving mode. If you think your iPhone is getting too slow, it is advisable to switch off the function. Use the energy saving mode only if this is really necessary, for example in battery percentages of twenty percent or less. Did you find this iPhone tip handy and do you want to know more?
