Irmscher pumps up Opel Insignia to 300 hp

Irmscher iS3 Opel Insignia

Irmscher and Opel go together like Brabus and Mercedes-Benz and so we are ready to show you the first plates of the Irmscher Opel Insignia iS3. With the pumped-up Insignia, the Opel adepts stick to the last model still developed by General Motors that Opel still offers.

Although Irmscher has found his way to the most recent and thus under the wing of Stellantis developed Opel models, the last ‘GM-Opel’ that you can still buy seems to have a warm place in the hearts of Opel adepts. In recent years, Irmscher has devoted himself several times to the Insignia and presents his most intensely whipped Insignia ever in the form of the Irmscher Opel Insignia iS3 to date.

According to the German tuner, the Irmscher Opel Insignia iS3 is inspired by the appearance of touring cars from the world of racing. The Insignia is fitted with a fairly exuberant body kit and naturally wears the distinctive Irmscher grille proudly on its muzzle. The aerodynamic extras, like the mirror caps, are made of carbon fiber and so is the visual drama with which Irmscher overloads the rear of the Insignia. Just below the shark fin on the roof, also made of carbon fiber, we find a first rear spoiler at the top of the rear window, a copy that has to recognize its superior in terms of size in the fierce rear wing. That wing is still above the body-coloured spoiler on the tailgate of the factory sporty Insignia that Irmscher took as the basis for the iS3. Irmscher attracts the Insignia iS3 20-inch large alloy and promises to fill the interior with leather, right down to the smallest cracks.

Irmscher presses the iS3 3 centimeters closer to the asphalt and says he has increased the power of the car to 300 hp. Although Irmscher does not say anything about it, we assume that the company has taken the four-wheel drive and 230 hp Insignia GSI as the basis for the iS3. The car will be on the market in a limited edition, prices are not yet available.
