The international success number Model 3 has been around for many years and so Tesla’s smallest, just like the Model S and Model X before, seems to be getting a facelift in the long term. A photo is floating around on the internet of what could just be the renewed Tesla Model 3.
The Tesla Model 3 has been available in the Netherlands since 2019, but the model itself has been around since 2016. After all, the Tesla Model 3 was already presented to the international public in April 2016 and is therefore already blowing out seven candles this year. At the end of 2022, the first sounds emerged about the arrival of a renewed Tesla Model 3 and now it is on Reddit an image has surfaced of what could just be that facelifted Model 3.

The Tesla Model 3 in the photos, apparently stored in a workshop, has a completely different front than the current model. The large headlights that the Tesla Model 3 currently has have been replaced on this black copy by significantly flatter ones, with which the Model 3 looks closer to big brothers Model S and Model X. We also notice a hint of the new and still not on the market Tesla Roadster in the front. In contrast to the current model, we do not see any fog lights in the mainly closed bumper. The interior of this mysterious Tesla Model 3 is also striking. Although the dashboard seems to be covered with a cloth, we see that the part behind the steering wheel seems to rise. With the current Tesla Model 3, very little is happening visually behind the steering wheel.
Please note: it is not yet certain whether this is indeed the renewed Tesla Model 3, or whether we are dealing with a cleverly crafted photo or a hobby project. The front, strewn with dead flies, in any case suggests that this black copy has driven the necessary kilometers.
According to previous rumors, the renewed Tesla Model 3 should be cheaper to produce than the current model, partly by further reducing the number of components that make up the interior. Earlier, Reuters reported, based on four anonymous sources, that the renewed Tesla Model 3 should go into production in China in the third quarter of this year.
Since 2019, 42,556 copies of the Tesla Model 3 have been registered in the Netherlands. This makes it by far the best-selling Tesla in our country.
