JBL recently added two new headphones to their line of LIVE headphones. These are the JBL LIVE 770NC and the JBL LIVE 670NC with longer battery life and True Adaptive Noise Canceling with Smart Ambient technology.

JBL has been a well-known name in the world of sound equipment since 1946, but nowadays it is best known for its wireless speakers, headphones and in-ears. At the beginning of this year, their JBL Live FLex earbuds with open stick design and True Adaptive Noise Canceling were notable. At the end of August, JBL announced a number of new products, such as the JBL Soundgear Sense air conduction earbuds, which are even more remarkable than the Live Flex earbuds. In addition, JBL announced the new JBL Live 770NC and Live 670NC headphones, available in black, white, blue and sandstone. There is not much difference between the two headphones, except that the 770NC is an over-ear model and the 670NC is the on-ear variant of the two.

Difference between on-ear and over-ear

The JBL Live 670NC is an on-ear headphone: this means that the cushions rest on the ear cup. This ensures a compact design. The JBL LIVE 770NC, on the other hand, is a lot larger, with the cushions falling around the ear. This results in less direct pressure on the ear and potentially more passive insulation.

Features JBL Live 770NC and Live 670NC
• True Adaptive Noise Canceling with Smart Ambient technology
• 2 beamforming microphones for clear phone conversations
• JBL Spatial Sound from any device
• Customizable sound experience with Personi-Fi 2.0
• Up to 50 hours of battery life with Bluetooth and Adaptive Noise Canceling on, up to 65 hours without ANC
• 5 minute quick charge (fast charging) for additional 4 hours of playback time
• Auto play and pause
• Multi-point connection for easy switching between devices
• Support for the JBL Headphones App for personalization and EQ adjustments.

Adaptability
When you need to concentrate or get into a certain mood, advanced JBL True Adaptive ANC technology automatically adapts to the real world, eliminating distractions and maximizing audio quality. A telephone conversation can be made uncomplicated by the beamforming microphones. These ensure very good call quality, even if you are standing outside in the wind, for example.

Battery life
Although the ‘old’ JBL LIVE 660NC can last about forty hours with functions such as noise canceling and Bluetooth on, the new variant can last up to about fifty hours in the same status. Thanks to the handy USB-C cable, the headphones fully charge in two hours. But if you can’t wait that long, you’re in luck, because thanks to fast charging you get 4 hours of extra battery life in just 5 minutes.

Ptime and availability
The JBL LIVE 770NC and JBL LIVE 670NC are available on JBL.nl from August 31 in black, white, blue and sandstone with suggested retail prices of € 179.99 and € 129.99.
