Italian motorcycle accessories manufacturer Kappa has launched a new line of luggage bags. The bags from the K’rugged line are stress-resistant, 100% waterproof and are a ‘smart’ alternative to the classic trio of aluminium cases.
The set consists of a universal base and 4 models with a capacity of 10 to 45 liters, which can be used separately or in combination. According to Kappa, we are talking about a very robust, extremely versatile line of soft bags, which easily adapts to the ‘extreme’ situations of adventurous ‘on-off’ travel, but also to everyday use in an urban context.
The 4 models currently included in the set are attached to the vehicle using the universal AV00 base, which offers maximum stability with minimum bulk, withstands the stresses associated with off-road use and allows the rider to move freely on the bike.
Basic AV00
It takes just a few minutes to mount this mounting system on the bike and just a few seconds to remove it. Practical and light, the AV00 universal base allows you to mount the AV01 and AV02 soft bags as side bags or saddlebags without the need for an additional frame.
The modular design allows for custom luggage configuration, while the included hook racks and straps provide extra strength and multiple attachment points.
AV01 & AV02 K’rugged
With a capacity of 10 and 20 litres, these models can be used as a single suitcase or in combination with other bags from the range. The roll closure guarantees 100% waterproofness and protects the contents from the elements and dust.
The bags are made of durable laminated TPU and have a semi-rigid AntiGrip rubber base to absorb vibrations. Safety and stability during use are enhanced by acetal CAM buckles and high-visibility reflective prints. AV01 and AV02 can be mounted on the AV00 base or directly on the pannier rack via the adjustable straps.
AV03 K’rugged
Spacious 45L cylinder bag with dual side openings for easy access without removing the bag from the frame. This design allows a second duffel bag (such as the AV04) to be placed on top should the need arise to increase the load capacity. The roll-top closure ensures waterproof properties and the acetal CAM buckles withstand heavy loads. The bag has a shoulder strap for easy transport over the shoulder.
AV04 K’rugged
This 40-liter top-load cargo bag shares the technical specifications of the other K’rugged bags, such as the durable material and the roll-top closure. Its additional feature is its versatility: thanks to the adjustable shoulder straps, it can be carried by hand or as a backpack.
