Karma Automotive announces the arrival of its very first EV. The electric model gets a completely new powertrain for the brand, although the car does not seem to be a shock when it comes to design.
Karma Automotive, the brand that sells a modernized version of the old Fisker Karma in the form of the Revero for the umpteenth time, has announced with a teaser that it will soon present its very first electric model. Just like its technical progenitor, the Revero is simply a plug-in hybrid. In the teaser image we see a piece of the orange-colored carriage of the announced EV, a car that will be given the perhaps somewhat awkward name GSe-6.
According to Karma, the GSe-6 will be the electric variant of the also just announced GS model family. Don’t expect too much from that completely new fashion line, though. Karma seems to rename the Revero to GS, and the now announced GSe-6 is the new electrically powered version of it. Previously, Karma showed something of a car it called the Revero GT E, an early version of an electric Revero that should be able to drive around 320 and 640 kilometers electrically thanks to a 75 kWh and 100 kWh battery packs. Most likely, the GSe-6 is the definitive production version of the Revero GT E.
Fisker and Karma
We used to know the combination Fisker and Karma of course from the Fisker Karma, the remarkably lined plug-in hybrid that was presented in 2011 and which was also delivered in the Netherlands. More than five years ago, the company of designer Henrik Fisker went bust and the Chinese Wanxiang Group became the new owner of the company. The remnants of the store were renamed Karma Automotive and the idiosyncratic plug-in hybrid was renamed Revero. Henrik Fisker himself left the company and stomped Fisker Inc. in 2016. from the ground. The latter company has its first EV on the menu with the Ocean.
