Kawasaki continues its sport tourer tradition with the Ninja 1100SX, and for the 2026 model year the evergreen features new colors and subtle refinements. Comfort, sporty performance and technology remain the core of this top model.

While many brands have dropped the once oh-so popular sports touring segment, Kawasaki remains faithful with the Ninja 1100SX. Recently, in the autumn sun in the Ardennes, we were able to see how versatile this machine is: sporty cornering, long tours and daily kilometers are no problem. A comprehensive report on this is currently being prepared.
New colours, familiar character
For 2026, Kawasaki brings fresh colorways to enhance the appeal of this versatile sports tourer. The standard Ninja 1100SX gets a Metallic Brilliant Golden Black / Metallic Carbon Gray version. The SE version, with its premium equipment, comes in Metallic Deep Blue / Metallic Diablo Black and Emerald Blazed Green / Metallic Diablo Black. The color scheme underlines the dynamic lines of the Ninja and makes it immediately recognizable as a sporty tourer.
Engine and performance

The Ninja 1100SX is powered by a 1,099cc inline-four, an engine that delivers impressive torque in the rev range and mid-range. The power delivery is smooth and controlled, making sporty steering as well as long journeys comfortable. The standard Quick Shifter ensures effortless clutchless shifting, while Cruise Control increases comfort on long days.
The IMU-controlled driver assistance systems, including Traction Control, Cornering Management Function and Cornering ABS, give the rider confidence in all kinds of conditions. In this way, the 1100SX feels both aggressive in sporty mode and composed during quiet miles on the highway.
Comfort and technology

The fact that the Ninja 1100SX is designed for long distances is evident from the ergonomics. High clip-ons and a comfortable saddle ensure that both rider and passenger can handle long rides without getting tired. The TFT color display clearly shows all important information, and riders can easily consult and adjust vehicle data, ride logs and settings via the Kawasaki Rideology App.
Wind protection is also excellently arranged. The sharp top and side fairing with integrated turn signals and the adjustable windshield ensure that you are protected even at higher speeds. Optional Mono-Key side cases offer 56 liters of extra luggage space and fit seamlessly into the design, making the Ninja 1100SX also suitable for longer tours or commuting.
SE trim: premium upgrades

For those who want that little bit extra, there is the Ninja 1100SX SE. This special version is distinguished by an Öhlins S46 rear shock absorber with adjustable spring preload, Brembo brake calipers with steel-braided brake lines and standard grip heating. These upgrades take the driving experience to an even higher level, with more precise control, improved driving comfort and a more luxurious finish.
The 2026 Ninja 1100SX and 1100SX SE are now available from official Kawasaki dealers and offer a perfect blend of sportiness, comfort and style for any rider who wants the best of both worlds.
