After the enormously positive response to the special livery of Jonathan Rea’s ZX-10RR in Argentina two years ago, as part of Kawasaki’s 125th anniversary, Team Green has now released the Ninja supersport family in the same super cool ZXR livery. Because the Ninja has been around for 40 years.
Over the past 40 years, Kawasaki has captured the hearts of many motorcycle enthusiasts with the leading Ninja series. The epitome of courage, technological advances and, above all, love for sports motorcycles. No other model name has such strong brand recognition worldwide as the Kawasaki Ninja models.
To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Kawasaki is now unveiling special Ninja 40th Anniversary models that will be seen in real life for the first time at the upcoming edition of the EICMA show. The trio of special editions consists of the acclaimed Ninja ZX-10R, the new 636cc Ninja ZX-6R and the new Ninja ZX-4RR, which has attracted great interest from motorcycle enthusiasts in recent months due to its high-revving inline-four.
These three machines will be dressed in the beautiful green/blue/white livery of the Kawasaki World Endurance racers of the early 1990s. The striking color scheme, which was used for the 1989 ZXR series, fits in seamlessly with the currently popular retro trend and looks fresh and contemporary at the same time.
Each machine has a 40th Anniversary logo on the tank and the livery has been carefully matched to the bodywork of these modern models. The wheels are painted Lime Green and the frame is finished in silver to as accurately as possible reflect the design of the legendary ZXR machines of yesteryear.
These models will be available at Kawasaki dealers in mid-December.
