Sometimes some things are just timeless. The Kawasaki Z650RS is the perfect example of that. From the iconic Twin lines of the 70s to the modern LED headlight and compact technology of today: this is an engine that you immediately recognize.

With the 2026 update in fresh new colors, Kawasaki again proves that retro style and modern driving pleasure can go hand in hand. Grab the low saddle, feel the smoothly rotating 649 cc parallel-twin and discover how a classic look conjures up a contemporary smile on your face.

For model year 2026, the Z650RS appears in three new, fresh colors that perfectly supplement the classic character: Metallic Ocean Blue, Candy Emerald Green and Ebony. This keeps the Z650RS both striking on the road and faithful to its legendary roots.

Under the retro jacket lies the well-known 649 cc parallel-twin, a block that effortlessly realizes its reputation of flexible power output and sporty character. It delivers exactly enough spice to drive dynamically, without intimidating. The light steel tube frame, the balanced geometry and the comfortable seating position make the Z650RS surprisingly agile. Ideal for city rides, winding inland roads and relaxed tours.

As we already noticed during our test: “The low saddle and compact size make the Z650RS particularly accessible, while the engine block reactions never surprise you – everything feels of course, smooth and direct.” The round LED headlight, the classic Twin-Dial Dashboard and the slim fuel tank are a perfect mix of nostalgia and modernity. Even after tens of kilometers, the engine remains inviting and comfortable, without losing the charm of the past.

For riders with an A2 (code80) driver’s license, a 35 kW-kit is available, making it accessible to an even wider audience. The 2026 Z650RS will be available at the official Kawasaki dealers from the end of September.
