Kia Tasman: fully charged and possibly even recharged!

Kia is expanding its international model range with a completely new model: the Tasman. The Kia Tasman will be a medium-sized pick-up and therefore seems to be a very practical companion, but it seems to be passing the European market in one smooth motion.

Kia has conjured up a very striking newcomer: the Tasman. The Kia Tasman is a new, medium-sized workhorse by pickup standards that is covered in – according to Kia – an Australian-inspired sticker sheet. Not only does the sticker refer to Oceania, the name of the car also has something to do with it. After all, Tasmania is an island southeast of Australia.

What exactly will power the Kia Tasman? That is not yet known, although the pickup appears to initially be available with combustion engines. An electric variant may also follow later. All this may make little difference to European consumers. Kia currently reports that the car will be marketed in Korea, Australia, Africa and the Middle East. It may therefore directly miss the European market.
