KTM gives a 4 -year warranty on certain models (and under strict conditions)

The financial perils have had a considerable impact on consumer confidence. To give potential new customers a boost, KTM has launched an improved warranty program. But not for every model.

KTM gives a 4 -year warranty on certain models (and under strict conditions)

According to KTM, the Premium Manufacturer’s Warranty (which is that with KTM that all marketing cretology must always be in capital letters) is completely free and guarantees up to four years of coverage for certain KTM street and travel engines, as a supplement to the standard factory warranty with which each KTM is delivered .

That is, every KTM that is put on license plate, engines for competition as well as track-only models are excluded from factory warranty. In addition, it is essential that all maintenance as recorded in the service booklet according to schedule has been carried out by a recognized KTM dealer. Without that, any form of warranty stands and premium.

The Premium Manufacturer’s Warranty is connected to the motorcycle and not to the rider and can therefore also help retain the value in the event of resale. Customers only have to book regular maintenance according to the maintenance schedule of their motorcycle with their recognized KTM dealer to keep the manufacturer’s premium warranty valid for up to 4 years.

Spela Kovacic, VP Global Customer Service:

“Every KTM motorcycle that leaves our factory comes with the promise of quality and excitement for both new and regular customers. To offer extra protection against all possibleities, we have added a premium guarantee, so that our customers get even more value for money.

This warranty is designed to be trouble -free, with all the paperwork handled by us. You only have to take your motorcycle to a recognized dealer for regular maintenance. We are convinced that riders will appreciate the benefits of this scheme and will continue to enjoy their KTM experience on the road. ”

KTM says that the now -announced Premium Manufacturer’s Warranty of only applies to all new 2023, 2024 and 2025 Street and Travel motorcycles (including the motorcycles that are still on the market this year) of the LC8 and LC8C motor platform, which from 3 February 2025 have been sold from stock.

That means remarkable enough that the additional warranty does not apply to all KTM single -cylinder models. And let it be that the models are that do not score some reliability very well.
