Against all expectations, the corona pandemic often does not result in less, but more demand for consumer goods. Among those goods we also find the cars from Lamborghini, which, according to its own words, has orders until at least November.
2021 is an excellent year for Lamborghini, CEO Stephan Winkelmann explains to Bloomberg. The first ten months of production capacity has already been sold completely, so there is only room for November and December. The first quarter even set a sales record again, with growth of almost 25 percent.
In 2020, the brand still had to make do with a small drop in sales, although that was mainly because 2019 was an outright record year. In 2020 Lamborghini was also confronted with a corona dip, which makes it extra special that the year will still go down in the books as the second best year for Lamborghini ever.
Or not, because the big pacesetter is of course the Lamborghini Urus SUV. That model has only been available since 2018. That 2021 would be a good year was already in the air, because it was already clear in 2020 that the first half of the year had already been fully booked with the brand.
