More exclusive and cheaper than Urus
Although the popularity of the Urus suggests otherwise, driving a Lamborghini is still a serious privilege. The cheapest new car of the brand is not even that SUV, but a real supercar: the Huracán.
Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD – €293,559
Lamborghini recently presented its new top model, the Revuelto. That 1,015 hp hybrid extremist does not yet have a Dutch price, but it will not be tender either. The large numbers at Lamborghini undoubtedly come from the Urus, which costs a minimum of €327,943 in facelifted form in our country. This makes the most practical car of the brand a bit more expensive than the Huracán, which as a mid-engine supercar is of course much more of a real hypercar. A regular Huracán will cost you €324,887 without options, but there is also something like a Huracán RWD. It has one driven axle and 20 hp less than its four-wheel drive brother and actually costs less than three tons: €293,559 to be exact. For that money you still get 610 hp and a car that goes from 0 to 100 in 3.3 seconds. For the sake of completeness: the entry-level Huracán is also available as a Spyder and costs €315,679.
The basic Huracán in the configurator is exactly as we often and like to see it in this section: white with a black interior. The car looks nice and ‘basic’, although that is relative in this segment. As before with the Bentley Bentayga, we don’t have an extensive list of option prices, but the online tool nevertheless gives a nice impression of what the ‘crazy driver’ can expect from Lamborghini. The paint color is called ‘Bianco Monocerus’ and yes, that is just plain white. The ‘color’ is in what Lamborghini calls the ‘Base Offer’. That selection is already quite extensive with 13 colors, but there are six other paint color categories. The standard wheels measure 19 inches and are of the ‘Kari’ type, in silver. Optionally, you can switch to one other 19-inch wheel and two wheel types in 20 inches, but of course we will not do that today.
No heated seats
The dressing options are also endless for the interior. As standard, the Huracán only comes with black leather, finished with matching black stitching. The seats are sporty, but also quite simple. For example, electric adjustment is not standard and neither is heated seats. Those who opt for other upholstery or other seats, and there are sufficient options for this, will in many cases receive a ceiling covered with leather or Alcantara. There are even three different options for the steering wheel trim, with black leather again being the standard.
The standard Huracán interior also leaves something to be desired in other respects. For example, you have to pay extra for mood lighting and the ‘Cupholder and Smoker package’. We can do without that ‘smoker’ in 2023, but we do like a cup holder and some extra storage space. The Sensonum Sound System is an option that you can also consider, although that may not be necessary with such a V10 on your neck. A reversing camera is extremely handy, which is not standard in Europe. Fortunately, parking sensors all around are, but given the poor view to the rear and the costs of damage repair, such a camera is definitely recommended. What is present then? Well, for example an infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and most likely also the often unnamed Android Auto. And most importantly: all the sensations that come with a Lamborghini Huracán are, of course, completely standard.
