Partly electric
Even the Lamborghini Urus cannot escape the plug. This week the curtain is expected to go up on the plug-in hybrid Urus.
Lamborghini announces that it will present a new version of the Urus on Wednesday. The car in the photos is still completely camouflaged and you might therefore expect it to be a significantly updated Lamborghini Urus, but nothing could be further from the truth. There will probably be some external changes, but the biggest news is not immediately visible to the naked eye. That is its drivetrain; the Lamborghini Urus is also plugged in.
More than a year ago, the first partially electric Urus first appeared in front of the lens of our spy photographer. The latter pointed out that there was a flap on both sides of the car, one of which of course provided access to a charging connection. A plug-in hybrid Urus also fits perfectly into Lamborghini’s plans, as it will only sell electrified models after this year. You can bet that the Urus-with-plug will be quite potent. In fact, we expect more power than the 666 hp that the Urus currently has at its disposal. It may borrow its powertrain from the Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, which has a system power of 739 hp. That is promising!
