The world of tuners is a special one. Not only are unnecessarily large wheels and heavy spoilers accepted, these ingredients are also constantly stuck on SUVs and other high-legged giants. Lumma Design has discovered the new Land Rover Defender, and the result is this Lumma CLR LD.
Lumma Design is not the first tuner that comes to mind when we hear the term ‘tasteful’, although taste is of course indisputable. Lumma Design has grabbed the new Defender by its edge and doused the English SUV with just about everything it could find on the shelves. The Lumma CLR LD has flared wheel arches that make the Land Rover Defender four inches wider than the original. Slots have been made in those widened wheel arches, but those are not the only holes that are cut in the Defender. Additional openings have appeared in the front fenders, among other things.
The CLR LD stands on 19- to 23-inch large alloy wheels and has two sets of twin tailpipes under its rear as well as a bumper to say the least. The copy at the front is of course also far from standard. The same goes for the side skirts and the hood. Lumma Design levets the CLR LD with additional lighting in the roof if desired and says that it can also adapt the interior to the smallest details to the taste of the customer. According to the tuner, motor upgrades are still being worked on.
