The saw in!
Do you think the Land Rover Defender is an attractive model, but does its panoramic roof not open far enough for you? Then Heritage Customs by designer and friend-of-the-show Niels van Roij offers a solution. This is the Defender Valiance Convertible, a cut open and interestingly put together Defender 90.
The Land Rover Defender comes in many shapes and sizes. It is available as a short Defender 90, as a longer Defender 110 and as a long Defender 130. In addition, you can also buy Defenders 90 and 110 as a commercial commercial vehicle version. A convertible? It doesn’t exist. At least, no open Defender rolls out of the Slovakian factory gates. If you still want an open Land Rover Defender, you can turn to Heritage Customs by designer Niels van Roij.
Meet the Valiance Convertible. The Valiance Convertible is a Land Rover Defender that Niels van Roij and Heritage Customs have put their teeth and scissors into. The Valiance Convertible is, among other things, on special classic-looking light metal and has been given a soft top. The B-pillar has literally remained intact and the load-bearing parts that connect the B-pillars to the A-pillars have of course survived the conversion to a convertible in the context of sturdiness. In addition, Heritage Customs has added a roll cage to ensure both safety and rigidity. The convertible roof can also be opened and closed electrically, although you have to unlock it manually from the windscreen edge first. The convertible roof is also available in different colors and fabrics.
Is the composition shown in these photos not quite to your liking? No problem. Virtually every detail can be fully personalized via the Heritage Customs Carchitecture program. From the upholstery to the stitching in it and from the outflow openings of the ventilation system to various panels. According to Heritage Customs, no two Valiance Convertibles will be the same. It takes at least 3 months before one copy is built. The conversion will cost at least €85,000. Please note that this is exclusive of VAT and you must supply a Defender 90 yourself. In December 2021, Heritage Customs already looked ahead to the Valiance.
