Tonight Apple presents the iPhone 15, but a leaked photo already reveals the phone’s new action button. This is what it looks like!
iPhone 15 gets new action button
We only have to wait a little longer for the unveiling of the iPhone 15, because Apple will present the new phone tonight during the Wonderlust event. There are a number of cool features coming to the iPhone 15, including a completely new action button. We previously saw a similar button on the Apple Watch Ultra and is now coming to the iPhone for the first time.

With the iPhone 15 you will soon be able to decide for yourself which action is performed when you press the button. This means you no longer have to unlock the iPhone and go to a specific app. Instead, you perform the action with one press of a button. Button works with Haptic Touch
The new action button replaces the mutebutton, the switch that we have found for years above the volume buttons of the iPhone. The photo shows that the action button is placed in the same place as the muteknob. According to previous rumors, the button works with Haptic Touch. This means that you cannot physically press the new button, instead the button works with vibration motors.
We already know this way of pressing the home button on the iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone SE 2020 and iPhone SE 2022. It is still unclear whether the action button actually works with Haptic Touch, as in the photo the button looks the same as the volume buttons. It is not expected that the volume buttons will be adjusted on the iPhone 15, so it is possible that the action button is still a physical button.

The button will probably only come to the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max. We will soon hear how exactly the new action button works, because tonight Apple presents the iPhone 15.
