Leaked: Volkswagen Golf Variant

Numerous Golf variants are already known, but the actual Volkswagen Golf Variant has only surfaced in test suit to date. Until today!

Thanks to the Instagram page of Wilco Blok, a page where more than regularly new models appear before the official unveiling, we have a first image of the new Volkswagen Golf Variant. The new Golf Variant has appeared in front of the lens of our spy photographer almost uncamouflaged several times, so the first plate of the unlabelled Golf Variant does not cause a huge surprise.

The new Volkswagen Golf Variant visible in this first image is designed as an Alltrack. Things like the plastic wheel arch edges, the bumpers finished with black plastic and the larger ground clearance that betray that this is the adventurous and 4Motion-powered version of the new Golf Variant. Striking is the lighting that Volkswagen places in the front bumper. We observe five individual pips on either side of the whole. An Alltrack version of the outgoing Golf Variant was delivered between 2017 and 2018, so the version is not completely strange to us.

Luggage compartment

The luggage space of the hatchback version of the new Golf is almost the same as that of the previous model, but with the generation change from technical twin brother Seat Leon, we saw that the luggage space of the Leon ST increased by about 30 liters. Should the trunk of the new Golf Variant increase by a similar number of liters, the car should be able to swallow about 635 liters. An official unveiling of the Golf Variant will probably not be long in coming.
