Lenovo ThinkPad C14 Chromebook Official: Focus on Productivity

Lenovo has unveiled its ThinkPad C14 Chromebook Enterprise, a 14-inch device with an Intel Core i7 processor. It has up to 16 GB of RAM and can hold an SSD of up to 256 GB.

Chromebooks are increasingly being portrayed as productivity machines and so is Lenovo with the ThinkPad C14 Chromebook. It has a 14-inch Full HD IPS LCD screen, which is also optionally available as a touchscreen. Starring is a twelfth-generation Intel Core i7 processor and up to 16GB of RAM, paired with an SSD that adds 256GB of storage.

Lenovo has equipped its new ThinkPad Chromebook with a webcam that takes pictures at a Full HD resolution. There is also a privacy cap with which you can cover the camera. Furthermore, the Chromebook has front-facing speakers that have been optimized by Waves MaxxAudio.

Ports and ThinkPad design

The battery is a relatively large 57 Whr example, but Lenovo makes no statements about the battery life in its press release† A fingerprint scanner is optional with this device. It is also equipped with two USB-A ports, two USB-C Thunderbolt ports, a microSD reader, an audio jack and an HDMI 2.0 port.

And in terms of design, you can recognize typical elements of ThinkPad laptops, such as the trackball and the design of the touchpad and keys on the keyboard. That keyboard is also backlit. By default, the ThinkPad C14 Chromebook works with Chrome OS, but you can upgrade it to the Enterprise version.

The ThinkPad C14 Chromebook will go on sale in June in the United States for the equivalent of 599 euros. We asked Lenovo for prices and availability in the Netherlands and Belgium.
