Meet one of the fastest production cars in the world. This is the definitive Hennessey Venom F5, an American speed monster that should be able to reach a top speed of 500 kilometers on paper.
The American Hennessey Performance has finally presented the definitive version of the Venom F5. Hennessey Performance is a tuner that is normally busy injecting cars like the Ford F-150 with 800 hp power cures, but also has a preference for cars with an absurd top speed. About six years ago, the brand launched the Hennessey Venom GT based on the Lotus Exige, which had to be able to reach a top speed of 435 km / h. In the same year, Hennessey Performance released the first images of what should eventually become the Venom F5. In 2017, the company showed a virtually production-ready version, but it would take until today before the Venom F5 was actually completely finished. This is the Venom F5, a mighty crack nose that should be able to reach a top speed of 500 km / h.
It may sound unbelievable, but with a top speed of 500 km / h, the Hennessey Venom F5 is not the fastest production car in the world. Although there is much to do, that title still goes to the SSC Tuatara. However, that doesn’t make the Venom F5 any less impressive. Behind the front seats is an unearthly powerful 6.6 V8 with two turbos that generates no less than 1,841 hp and 1,617 Nm. A sprint from a standstill to a speed of 100 km / h is over in less than 3 seconds. More impressive is the 0-200 sprint which takes just 4.7 seconds. The Venom F5 stands on Michelin Pilot Cup Sport 2 tires, rubber folded around 20-inch alloy wheels at the rear and 19-inch wheels at the front.

The Venom F5 has a car weight of only 1,360 kilos. About 290 kilos of that is filled by the mighty V8. Hennessey has done its best to keep the weight as low as possible, including by giving the Venom F5 a carbon fiber chassis that weighs less than 90 kilos. Most of the coach is also made of carbon fiber. The front of the final Venom F5 is very similar to that of the version presented three years ago and the rear also shows strong similarities to that of the pre-production version. The rear spoiler is completely new and the exhaust pipes, previously three pieces, are now one floor above the number plate. However, the interior of the Venom F5 has been completely renewed. The whole has a pretty minimalist design and consists of just a set of buttons on the center tunnel and vent grilles in the center console. Above it a simple display that belongs to the infotainment system. We also observe a screen behind the fierce-looking steering wheel. In the Venom F5 presented in 2017, the display was in the heart of the steering wheel.
Hennessey Performance will only produce 24 copies of the Venom F5. The price tag? At least 2.1 million dollars, converted € 1,730,000 …
