‘Master’ of the rebadge
The question that no one asked has now been answered: yes, there will be a new Nissan Interstar based on the also new Renault Master.
The Nissan Interstar first appeared in the late 1990s, then also for the Nissan version of the Renault Master. The largest van in the Nissan (and Renault) range was then called NV400 for a long time, but since 2021 it has been ‘Interstar’ again. Nothing will change about this in the near future, but that does apply to the rest of this vehicle. It will be completely new, just like the new Renault Master.
The new Renault Master
On the one hand, this is great news, because in the land of vans such a generational change occurs considerably less often than in passenger cars. On the other hand, in this case it is of course not big news at all, because the Nissan Interstar will be ‘just’ a Renault Master with a slightly modified nose and new logos and nameplates, just like before. Nissan shows it in some complicated pictures, but from that we mainly learn that this theory is correct as a whole. You can count on the new Nissan Interstar to be unveiled very soon.
