The Logitech Zone Vibe 100 are headphones intended for people who work or study at home. It is an over-ear model that is very comfortable, due to its low weight and soft ear cushions. But that doesn’t mean this is the must-have office accessory.

When you pick up the Logitech Zone Vibe 100 for the first time, you immediately feel how light the headphones are. With a weight of about 185 grams, that idea is immediately justified. That is very positive, since you are supposed to use this headset at home for your work or study, where it is important that you participates in video meetings or meetings. The headband is made of hard plastic, but over it is a soft layer of fabric.
Nowhere do you feel that the Logitech Zone Vibe 100 puts too much pressure on your head. This is partly due to the very soft and breathable ear cushions and the adjustable strap. With very little effort you can pull the strap down, so that you quickly find an ideal position while working. Due to the abundance of plastic, the headphones feel a bit cheap, so you don’t immediately get the idea that the price of about 120 euros is justified.
Function over form
120 euros may not be a lot of money in the world of headphones, but it is and remains of course just 120 euros. You can expect a little more from that. The control on the back of the office accessory also feels a bit cheap, but is very functional. And then it is clear that Logitech cared more about function than form. Fortunately, the buttons are easily accessible and easy to operate blindly, so the functionality is not the issue.
A nice aspect about the Logitech Zone Vibe 100 is the folding microphone on the left. Just like a gaming headset, you can fold the mic when you’re not speaking or need to talk. And with an effortless action, you can pull it out when needed. You are perfectly audible through the mic. You sound close and personal, although you also sound a bit tinny at times. And the battery lasts about eighteen to twenty hours on a full charge.
Other functions
Unfortunately, the Logitech Vibe Zone 100 does not have noise cancellation or a transparent mode. The latter mode is in principle not necessary, because the headphones let more than enough sound through during use. If you work in an environment in which your family is also active, it is useful that you find a quiet place in the house. If it is noisy outside because some neighbor has to renovate if necessary, you should also expect that you do not filter that noise.
In addition, there are some functions that you manage via the Logitech app. For example, you can disable the microphone or allow the headset to record voice messages. In addition, there is an equalizer and you can manage the sidetone. The latter option deserves some extra attention, since it allows you to set the extent to which you hear yourself during a meeting. For some people this is important so that they can continue to communicate in a natural way.
In addition, it is good to see that the Logitech Vibe Zone 100 offers support for bluetooth 5.2 and multipoint. This makes it possible to connect two devices to the headphones. You can effortlessly connect it to your laptop and your smartphone, so you can quickly switch between both devices.
If you have a meeting and receive a call, you simply switch to your smartphone. When you have finished calling, you can participate in the current meeting again.
And the sound quality?
Judging the audio quality is not entirely unimportant. But because this product is more intended as an office or study accessory, we have to look at it with a slightly different view. Because let’s be honest: when you listen to music with this model, you soon come home from a cold fair. The range is quite limited, so music sounds a bit muddy and not at all detailed. That could be significantly better, although that might be a good search for this price.
What matters here is whether the headset is doing its job during a meeting. That is indisputable. You understand the person on the other end of the line very well. The audio sounds sharp and precise and a bit chilly and office-like. Don’t expect warmth in someone’s voice. That also partly depends on the microphone someone else is using, so experiences can vary widely. Anyway; in general, the headphones are very suitable for this.
Incidentally, the Zone 100 only supports the AAC audio codec. Basically this is fine because it allows you to use it with Android and iOS devices. But the quality of this codec also strongly depends on the hardware of the source and receiver. That’s because AAC demands more from a processor than competing codecs. Devices that put energy efficiency over performance tend to play AAC in a lower quality and bitrate.
Logitech Zone Vibe 100 – Conclusion
In terms of audio quality, the Logitech Vibe Zone 100 is therefore not entirely convincing. Music sounds a bit muddy and lacks detail. As a result, this device is not as versatile as you would like for the price. When you use it exclusively for meetings and digital meetings, you get a well-functioning product with it. You can hear the people on the other end well and sharply (and yes, the other person’s mic plays a part in that of course).
In addition, it is clear that Logitech places more emphasis on function. The headset feels a bit cheap, but it does have a few attractive features. Think of the low weight, the accessible buttons and the fold-out microphone. Nevertheless, the Logitech headphones do not make themselves indispensable in the home office, partly because of the lack of noise cancellation (in any form). A lower price would give the expensive office accessory a little more.
