It is very possible that you have forgotten your WiFi password for a while. This can sometimes happen without a password manager. This way you can easily find it on your iPhone, iPad or Mac.
The number of passwords we have to remember is increasing rapidly. It is therefore quite possible that you no longer remember your WiFi password, for example. It has been easy to find on your Mac, iPad or iPhone since iOS 16 and iPadOS 16.1. Below you can read how to do that.
Wifi saved on your iPhone and iPad
The good thing is, of course, that your passwords can be found on your iPhone and Mac. On iOS 16 and iPadOS 16.1 and above, this is easy to achieve using Face ID or Touch ID.
To do this, go to on your iPhone or iPad Settings and tap Wi-Fi. Then find the network you need the password for. After this, tap on the info button and then tap on the hidden password.

Then you can use Face ID or Touch ID to see the password on your iPhone or iPad. It should be clear that you have connected to the WiFi network before.
Retrieve password with macOS Ventura
Retrieving your passwords on a Mac works slightly differently than on your iPhone or iPad. Still, it’s pretty easy there too.
To do this, click on the Apple symbol and then choose System settings. Then click Network. To copy the password, click on the three dots next to the network name and then click on copy.
To retrieve a password from a network you have connected to before, click advanced in your Network Settings. Here you will find all networks that you have already connected to.
Here too, click on the three dots next to the WiFi name, after which you can copy the password. This is now on your clipboard and you can paste it where you need it.
So super easy on your iPhone, iPad or Mac, but you need to know it.
