Lotus will present no fewer than four new models over the next five years. We now get to see one of them in sketch form and it seems that we are dealing with the ‘Type 135’, a fully electric supercar.
Lotus announces that it is joining forces with battery technology company Britishvolt for the development of battery packs. They will probably be in all four new Lotus models. Nice news in itself, but we find the sketch that Lotus shares with it a little more interesting. On it we see one of those four newcomers.
In all likelihood this is the ‘Type 135’. An all-electric supercar announced last summer – just like its three brothers. Lotus fans will probably be most looking forward to this model, as two electric SUVs and an electric ‘four-door coupe’ will appear earlier. The Type 135 seems to be becoming more of a car in the spirit of Lotus. At least in terms of lines, because we can’t help feeling that the Lotus Esprit has been looked at for inspiration.

Furthermore, very little is known about the new Lotus, except that we can only expect it in 2025. First it’s the turn of the three other models. One of these, the largest electric SUV planned, will be unveiled by Lotus sometime in the coming months.
